I am a Mental Health Counselor, Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP), Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (in progress), Life Coach, Health Coach, Spirituality Counselor (DOD) and Muse. I personally know this journey. I too have struggled with issues with my mind, body and spirit. It may not be typical for a Therapist and Health Practitioner to admit her own struggles but I believe in the value of knowing one is not alone and that someone else has traveled the journey and has come out on the other side. I am here to tell you that it is possible to live a joy filled, vibrant life that fulfills you on every level. I may not have experienced exactly what you are facing, but I do know how to help you.

After over two decades in the healing field, I continue to develop my skill set and enrich my toolbox. I am dedicated to the utilization of the most effective methods available to help you achieve optimal wellness. In addition to counseling, I began studying nutrition especially for mental health. This developed into trainings in Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine, Organic Acids testing, Detoxification, Supplementation, Herbal and Plant Medicine, Functional Diagnostics, Genomics and much more which lead me into specialization in Functional Health Consulting. As a Counselor and Life Coach, I have specialized in helping those with depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse/addiction, trauma, career, relationships, chronic pain and TMS/PPD. I have a Master's of Arts in Counseling, and have trained in numerous experiential and traditional modalities including Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR, Gestalt, NLP, Neurofeedback, Somatic Expression, Breathwork, CBT, Meditation and Kundalini Yoga.
Integrative & Functional Medicine For Mental Health - Functional Mental Health Consultation
Mental Health and Physical health can be impacted by Physiological, Environmental and/or Neurological conditions. Gut health is an example of just one of these conditions that can lead to depression, and anxiety and overall poor quality of life. When addressed and encouraged into more optimal functioning, quality of life returns. This approach endeavors to identify the root cause of imbalance. We work with facts not fads to tailor individualized programs. We believe that no two individuals are alike enough for a one size fits all approach. Genetics are not your destiny. However, stress, environmental toxins, and poor or inadequate diet can contribute to a decline in overall health by triggering these genes to express their weaknesses. By assisting the body with stress reduction, sleep, optimized nutrition, detoxification and structural support, wellness is achieved, pain is reduced, mental health is improved and energy is restored.
Breathwork refers to various types of breathing exercises or techniques utilized to help with mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. The many forms of breathwork involve breathing in a conscious and systematic way. In general, the goal of any breathwork therapy is to support people in achieving a greater sense of self-awareness and capacity for self-healing. It also helps people work toward overall improvement in mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Breathwork can promote deep relaxation or can energize. It is thought to bring about improvements in emotional state and to decrease levels of stress and may

Sessions and techniques can range from 15 minutes to 4 hours with the most common lasting about an hour and a half.

EEG Biofeedback / Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback is a process of empowering a person to improve brain activity. Using sophisticated measuring equipment, a therapist provides the client with real-time feedback of their own brainwaves. Over the course of several sessions, brain function improves. EEG biofeedback, or neurofeedback, is commonly used to address conditions as varied as anxiety, depression, ADHD, epilepsy, autism, chronic pain, trauma, and to improve peak performance in sports, to name only a few.
