Updated: Jul 8, 2024

Today we are faced with a great deal uncertainty, ever changing information, too much information, our systems are being bombarded from the outside and from within.

Try this Tip of the Nose Breathing Exercise the next time you feel stressed or fearful.

Stop what you are doing, turn off the TV, the media, excuse yourself to a private space.

Sit somewhere comfortably and tune in to your breath.

Just notice your breath as it comes in and out of your nose.

Notice the point at which the breath first touches your nose as you inhale gently and then as it last touches your nose as you exhale.

If your mind wanders or you are disturbed by an outside sound, just notice this has occurred and gently bring your attention back to the breath as it comes in and out of your nose.

Stay with this breath for 2-3 minutes, or more if you find your mind wandering or your levels still high.

Consider extending the time to five minutes then ten minutes over the next few weeks.
